We carefully take the roof lining out of the car, along with the trims and clips that hold it in.

Each fibre optic strand is fed through the headliner by hand and spaced so it looks natural, not like a grid.
Back together
The light source is wired in and hidden away, the headliner goes back in, and the trims are refitted.

How long does it take?
It depends on the number of stars. The 600-star Mercedes E220d on this page took 16 hours.
Will it change my headliner?
Yes, it’s a permanent change. The fibres go through small holes in the roof lining, which is why we take our time and fit every star by hand.
