Clear glass vs. reflective film

Drag the slider. On the left is ordinary glass, where anyone passing can see straight in. On the right, our reflective film turns the same windows into a mirror finish: from outside you see the sky, not your living room.

Benefits
Why tint your home

More comfort. Less sun damage.

Heat rejection

The film reflects a large share of the sun’s energy before it gets into the room, so south-facing rooms and conservatories stay comfortable on bright days.

Stops sun damage

Blocks 99% of UV rays, the main cause of faded floors, sofas, curtains and artwork. It protects your furniture and your skin.

Daytime privacy

A mirror finish outside with a clear view inside. People passing see a reflection, while you still see the street.

No more glare

Cuts harsh glare on TVs, monitors and laptops. Ideal for home offices and living rooms that get the evening sun.

Lower running costs

Less heat build-up means less need for fans or air-con in warm weather, and a more even temperature through the day.

Sleek, modern look

A uniform finish across every window gives your home a clean, contemporary look, and the film also helps hold glass together if it ever breaks.

How it works

A mirror for the sun, a window for you

Reflective film is a thin, metallised layer fitted to the inside of your glass. It bounces the sun’s heat back outside while still letting natural daylight through.

Heat bounced backMost of the solar energy is reflected before it can warm the room.

Daylight let inRooms stay bright and you keep your view.

UV blocked99% of UV is stopped at the glass, protecting interiors from fading.

Enjoy it

A cooler, more private and better-protected home from day one.

Good to know: the mirror effect works when it’s brighter outside than inside. In the evening, with your lights on, it reverses, so keep curtains or blinds for night-time privacy. We also check your glass type first, because some double-glazed units need a specific film.

Will it make my rooms dark?

No. Reflective films come in different strengths, and lighter options keep rooms bright while still rejecting heat. We’ll show you samples on your glass before you decide.

Can I still see out?

Yes. During the day you get a clear view from inside, while people outside see a reflection.

Does it work on double glazing?

Yes, with the right film. We check your glass type first so the film we use is suitable for your units.

Can it be removed later?

Yes. Window film can be professionally removed without damaging the glass.

How do I clean it?

Leave it to cure for about 30 days after fitting. After that, use a soft cloth and mild soapy water, and avoid anything abrasive.
